Man shot to death in Harvey

A man died Tuesday after he was shot in south suburban Harvey.

William Sandifer, 25, was shot in the back in the 14800 block of Turlington Avenue in Harvey, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Sandifer, of the 16400 block of South Ashland, was pronounced dead at Ingalls Memorial Hospital, also in Harvey, at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Circumstances of the shooting were not available Wednesday afternoon.
