A man and woman were both left in critical condition after they were shot in West Englewood Friday night.

About 9:35 p.m., the two got into an argument with another male in the 6800 block of South Ashland, police said. The other male eventually pulled out a gun and shot them.

The man, 21, was shot several times and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. The woman, 19, was shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital. Both were in critical condition.
