A 16-year-old boy was shot Monday morning in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

He was walking in an alley in the 6800 block of South Washtenaw at 9:09 a.m. when a black minivan drove down the alley, almost striking him, according to Chicago Police.

Someone in the van then fired shots, striking the victim in the left leg, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition.

The van drove away after the shooting, and no one is in custody.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
