A man was shot to death early Sunday in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 21-year-old was found at 12:49 a.m. lying on the ground in the backyard of a home in the 2600 block of East 76th Street, according to Chicago Police.

Niko L. Walker, of the 5700 block of South Paxton, had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:12 a.m., police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Sunday ruled his death a homicide.
