Teen shot on West Side

A 17-year-old boy was shot late Saturday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

He was on a sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Van Buren about 10:30 p.m. when he heard gunshots and realized he’d been struck in the chest and left arm, according to Chicago Police.

His family members drove him to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
