Woman shot in Lawndale

A woman was shot Tuesday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 22-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle about 10:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Lawndale when a male walked up and fired shots, striking her in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
