If Marquis Jackson turns out to be anything close to his identical twin, the Bears will be thrilled.
As it is, the 6-4, 280-pound defensive lineman is trying out this weekend. His brother, Malik, dominated on the Broncos before signing a six-year, $90 million deal with the Jaguars this offseason.
The 26-year-old played at College of the Canyons, Texas Southern and Portland State before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Vikings in 2013. He was cut in the preseason and spent 2014 with the Arena Football League’s Portland Thunder.
“We had him in at Denver one time and he was in a suit sitting in our lunch room. Everybody was looking around going, ‘Malik, what are you doing in a suit?’” Fox said. “So I’ve met him before. That’s a big reason why we brought him in.”
Can he play like Malik?
“That’s why he is here,” Fox said. “I guess we’ll see.”
