Sandra Bullock has always had a reputation for caring deeply about the people she works with — particularly crew members and even extras who work on her films. That was proven earlier this week when the Oscar winner leapt to the aid of an actress working as an extra on the set of “Our Brand Is Crisis,” currently filming in New Orleans. According to sources, Bullock took charge when the unnamed actress collapsed from apparent heat stroke. Bullock quickly gave the woman some water and fanned her in a shady area until an ambulance arrived to transport her to a local hospital.

The heat stroke may have been brought on by the warm, heavy clothes the actors were required to wear as costumes in the movie. The New Orleans temperature on Monday, when the woman collapsed, averaged about 82 degrees.
