Police are warning residents about four recent burglaries in the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood.

In each case, the suspect or suspects enters homes and garages through side and rear doors to steal property, Area Central detectives said in a community alert.

The first burglary happened during the daytime on Oct. 21 in the 3600 block of West 85th Street, police said. A second burglary happened in the early morning hours of Oct. 22 in the 3400 block of West 85th St.

Another incident happened Oct. 23 during the day in the 8600 block of South Kedvale, police said. The most recent burglary happened Oct. 24 in the overnight hours in the 3700 block of West 81st Street.

Police are encouraging residents to keep their doors and windows secured, and to report suspicious activity right away. Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call detectives at (312) 747-8382.
