(ST. CHARLES TWP.) Detectives found 463 marijuana plants and 6,000 grams of cannabis earlier this week at a west suburban man’s indoor grow operation, police said.

Police executed a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at David Robbins’ home in the 38W500 block of Mallard Lake Road in unincorporated St. Charles Township, according to a statement from the Kane County Sheriff’s office.

Detectives found a “large-scale indoor cannabis grow operation” in the garage, basement and main floor of Robbins’ home, with 463 plants in various stages of growth and more than 6,000 grams of packaged cannabis, police said.

The grow operation and cannabis have an estimated street value of about $500,000, police said.

Robbins, 44, also allegedly had two handguns and a rifle in his home in violation of an active order of protection against him.

He faces three felony drug charges and a misdemeanor protection order violation, police said.

A judge on Friday ordered Robbins held on a $150,000 bond, according to the sheriff’s office. His next court date wasn’t immediately known.
