SHARE Police: Teen likely shot himself in Marquette Park

A teen may have shot himself in the leg Friday evening in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.

The teen, whose exact age was not immediately known, suffered the gunshot wound about 6:35 p.m. in the 7100 block of South California, police said.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Police said the gunshot wound appears to be self-inflicted.
