SHARE Police search for person who fired gun at man in Elgin

(ELGIN) Someone fired a gun at a man in northwest suburban Elgin early Sunday.

Officers responded at 4:16 a.m. to Lawrence Avenue and Silver Street for a call of shots fired, according to a statement from Elgin police.

A 33-year-old man told investigators he was walking when someone nearby with a gun shot in his direction, police said. No one was hurt.

No description of the possible shooter was provided.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call detectives at (847) 289-2600, or anonymously at (847) 695-4195.
