Police are warning residents about a pair of burglaries last month in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

In the reported burglaries, one or more suspects have made a hole in a business’s roof, disabled phone and alarm systems and lowered themselves in to remove property, according to a business alert from Chicago Police.

The first burglary was reported about 3 a.m. on Oct. 17 in the 300 block of North Central, police said. The other was reported about 4 a.m. on Oct. 20 in the 700 block of North Cicero.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
