A 13-year-old boy was among three people injured in an Avalon Park neighborhood drive-by shooting Saturday evening on the South Side.

The boy and two men, ages 18 and 19, were all shot by someone inside a passing vehicle at 7:33 p.m. in the 8100 block of South Woodlawn, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

The boy was shot in the buttocks and taken to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition, Sweeney said.

The 18-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the foot and was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized, Sweeney said. The 19-year-old was shot in the leg and taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in good condition.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
