A 30-year-old man was ordered held without bond Sunday after being charged with shooting two men Saturday in the West Englewood neighborhood.

The two men, 25 and 31, were standing on a porch in the 7000 block of South Wolcott about 2:40 a.m., police announced Saturday.

Donte D. Riley shot the 25-year-old in the leg and the 31-year-old in the face after a verbal altercation, police said. The two were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where their conditions had stabilized.

Riley, of the 7000 block of South Damen, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery, police said. A judge on Sunday ordered him held without bond, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office.

Riley is next due in court Oct. 3.
