Father, daughter charged with delivery, possession of three drugs in Crystal Lake

(CRYSTAL LAKE) A northwest suburban woman and her father are facing several drug-related charges after police found them in possession of marijuana, mushrooms and acid Tuesday.

The McHenry County sheriff’s office launched a four-month investigation after receiving information that Crystal Lake resident Kylie J. Charlette, 19, was selling LSD and marijuana, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Undercover narcotics detectives and Crystal Lake police officers began buying drugs from Charlette at her home in the 40 block of Gates Street. Then on Nov. 4, sheriff’s officers, Crystal Lake police officers and members of the United States Marshals Service Great Lake Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Charlette and her father, 53-year-old Raymond Charlette, at their home, the sheriff’s office said.

Both were in possession of about 540 grams of marijuana, 45 hits of acid and .3 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms — estimated at a street value of $11,182.50, the sheriff’s office said. Authorities also seized two digital drug scales, drug paraphernalia, a drug ledger, packaging materials and $663 in cash.

Kylie Charlette faces nine different charges, including unlawful drug possession and two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, the sheriff’s office said. She was ordered held on a $103,000 bond.

Her father is charged with misdemeanor counts of unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted $3,000 bail and has been released from custody.

Their next court dates were not known Wednesday night.
