Two men were shot Tuesday afternoon in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened in the 800 block of East 87th Place a few minutes before 2 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the upper left leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, Sweeney said. The other man, 34, was shot in the lower abdomen and took himself to Jackson Park Hospital. He was also in good condition, Sweeney said.
