Authorities are warning about four recent burglaries in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The burglaries have happened at various times of the day, Harrison District police said in a community alert. In each case, a suspect or suspects broke into apartments to take property.

The first burglary happened sometime after 10 p.m. Dec. 11 in the 3300 block of West Adams, police said.

Three other burglaries happened in the 100 block of South California, one during the day on Dec. 12, another about 5 p.m. Dec. 15 and a third on the afternoon of Dec. 16, police said.

Residents should keep their doors and windows locked and call 911 to report suspicious people loitering in the area, police said.
