A new project is in store for Soulja Boy. The “Crank That” rapper is joining the cast of “Love & Hip Hop: L.A.” According to TMZ, that move is a “last-ditch effort” to keep the show going.

Reportedly, the show’s producers felt the show was struggling and needed a big name rapper to be added to attract a larger audience.

At this point Ray J is the biggest star on “Love & Hip Hop: L.A.” and the producers are convinced he and Soulja Boy will make a great team.

Along those lines, Ray J is said to be equally delighted Soulja Boy has inked the deal.
