THE SKINNY
Neuqua Valley’s offense cruised early on as the Wildcats led 25-0 after one quarter, and had its longest scoring drive of 69 yards on four plays in the second quarter. Mikey Dudek caught a 25-yard scoring pass from Broc Rutter and ran for a 37-yard touchdown as the Wildcats led 39-0 at intermission.
TURNING POINT
After TJ Scruggs scampered for a 15-yard touchdown and the 25-point lead near the end of the first quarter, the game was never in doubt. Derrek Warkenthien led the dominant Neuqua defense that frustrated the Tomcats.
THE STAR
Nolan Dean rushed for 82 yards on only six touches for Neuqua (4-1, 2-0 UEC Valley). Warkenthien notched seven solo tackles, three assists and one sack—all in the first half—for the Wildcats.
BY THE NUMBERS
