A 54-year-old man died after he was shot early Monday in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Malcolm Warnsby was shot in the back in the 1100 block of North Harding at 3:24 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Warnsby, of the 1300 block of North Kildare, died at Mount Sinai Hospital at 6:34 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Wednesday ruled his death a homicide.

Police could not provide details on the circumstances surrounding Warnsby’s death Wednesday afternoon.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
