The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will be open to the public on Sept. 11.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a non-profit, state-of-the-art “recording studio on wheels” that provides hands-on experiences for students of all ages, rolled into Chicago this week and will be open for public tours on Sept. 11.

Visitors to the Lennon Bus will receive an exclusive look into the latest in audio, video and broadcast technologies, and hear first hand from the engineers who live and work on board the multi-million dollar facility that travels 10 months a year throughout the U.S. Participants will spend a full day developing an original project, creating the music, video, and images needed to take the idea from concept to delivery.

Here are the details for those interested in visiting this project that is being presented in association with Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, Young Chicago Authors, Donda’s House and the School of Art & Art History at the University of Illinois at Chicago:

When: Thursday, Sept. 11, 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Where: Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, 800 S Halsted.

In a prepared statement, Lisa Yun Lee, UIC Director of Art and Art History noted: “The Lennon Bus supports young people to produce media projects reflective of their ideas, concerns and aspirations in these times, which intersect with the efforts to end youth violence and work for peace and justice in our city,”

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit state-of-the-art mobile Pro Audio and HD video recording facility that provides hands-on experiences for students of all ages.
