(GRANT PARK) A Kankakee County man was arrested Friday after police found 20 pounds of cannabis and 55 marijuana plants at his home, authorities said.

Juan Manuel Lopez-Gonzalez, 39, is charged with manufacture of cannabis with intent to deliver and production or possession of cannabis, the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group said in a statement.

Authorities searched his home in the 8100 block of North 11000 East Road in Grant Park just before 6:30 a.m. Friday, the statement said.

In addition to the cannabis, authorities found grow materials, cash and drug paraphernalia, authorities claim.
