A man was hurt in a drive-by shooting early New Year’s Day in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 19-year-old was walking in the 4400 block of West Wilcox about 4:30 a.m. when a light-colored car passed by and a passenger fired shots, striking him, police said.

The man walked into Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back, police said. His condition was stabilized.
