A man was shot early Monday in the South Shore neighborhood.

The man, 47, was shot in the left ear about 3:30 a.m. in the 7500 block of South South Shore Drive, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

Police said the man did not provide investigators with additional details on the shooting.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
