Yaya DaCosta, who did a turn as Whitney Houston in the recent Lifetime biopic, is headed for the halls of “Chicago Med,” according to Deadline.

The website reported that DaCosta is slated to play a nurse named Maggie Seaver in the long-rumored offshoot of NBC’s “Chicago Fire,” whose 19th episode this season will function as an “embedded spinoff” for the potential hospital-focused drama that has yet to get the official green light from the network.

As for her character’s personal life? DaCosta reportedly will rekindle a romance with Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), someone she dated back in high school. Can you say “crossover potential?”

DaCosta also was in the film “The Butler” from Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, the duo behind the Fox hit “Empire,” which shares the same Cinespace Chicago studio complex as “Fire.”
