A 16-year-old boy was shot in the left arm Sunday afternoon in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened about 3 p.m. in the 5900 block of South Artesian, according to preliminary information from police.

Hospital information for the boy and additional details on the shooting weren’t immediately available.
