Man shot in Grand Boulevard

A man was shot in an apparent drive-by Thursday morning in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened about 8:25 a.m. in the 4600 block of South Evans, police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.

The 37-year-old victim was shot in the lower back and taken to Stroger Hospital, Sullivan said. His condition was not immediately known.

Police said the shooting was apparently a drive-by, but could not provide additional details.
