A woman was arrested after police found cocaine in her northwest suburban home Wednesday evening.

Officers executed a search warrant at the home in the 0-100 block of South Edison Avenue in Elgin about 7 p.m. and arrested 45-year-old Christina L. Gaffney after they found cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to a statement from Elgin police.

The search warrant was executed after a month-long investigation that started when police received a tip that drugs were being sold at the home, police said.

Gaffney is charged with felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, police said. She is also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her bond was set at $50,000 at a hearing Friday morning, police said.
