A 30-year-old woman was shot early Thursday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The woman was driving about 1:40 a.m. in the 5400 block of South May when she “heard shots and felt pain,” police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The woman suffered a graze wound to the head and drove herself to Stroger Hospital, where her condition stabilized.
