A 34-year-old man was shot in a West Englewood drive-by attack late Monday on the South Side.

About 11:40 p.m., he was walking in the 1500 block of West 60th Street when someone fired shots from a red van traveling westbound, police said.

The man–a documented gang member–was struck in the hip and arm and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

He approached the thieves Monday morning after he saw someone underneath his car in the 7200 block of North Oakley Avenue, police said.
