A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV on Saturday night in northwest suburban Carpentersville.

Steven J. Moeller, 37, was injured when the vehicles collided about 10:23 p.m. near Route 25 and Lake Marion Road, according to a statement from Carpentersville police.

The Lombard resident was driving the motorcycle, police said. He was taken to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin and was pronounced dead a short time later.

No one has been arrested or cited in connection with the crash.

Carpentersville police and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction team continue to investigate.
