No injuries were reported in a crash that resulted in one car flipped over on top of another Thursday morning in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

A Lexus was headed northbound in the 3000 block of North Cicero about 5:10 a.m. when it ran a red light and hit a Hyundai that was westbound on Wellington trying to turn south onto Cicero, police said.

As a result of the crash, the Hyundai ended up flipped upside down on top of the Lexus, police said. No injuries were reported.

The driver of the Lexus was cited for disobeying a solid red signal, according to police. The Hyundai’s driver was cited for driving without insurance.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
