Two shot in Washington Park

Two men were shot Friday afternoon in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The men, ages 28 and 48, were both shot about 5:30 p.m. in the 200 block of East 58th Street, police said.

The 28-year-old was shot in the leg while the older man was shot in the back, police said. They were both taken to Stroger Hospital, where both of their conditions had stabilized.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
