Wicker Park will pay special tribute to the late comedian/actor Robin Williams with special movie screenings this summer.

The “Robin Williams Movies in the Park” series begins June 18 in Wicker Park, 1425 N. Damen, with “Night at the Museum,” and continue on select Thursdays in the park through Aug. 3 (full schedule is below).

The free movies will begin screening at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.). Bring a picnic basket!

“Each year we try to create a theme that is whimsical, yet familiar, drawing inspiration from the people and events that shape our community,” said WPAC Movie in the Park Series committee chairman Tim Kolecke. “Robin Williams touched the imagination of everyone who saw his movies. We’re looking forward to paying homage to his creative magic all summer long!”
