A southwest suburban man on parole for public indecency was caught “conducting a lewd act” near a playground in Oak Lawn on Thursday, police said.

About 2:40 p.m., Daniel M. Vorberg parked his car near a kindergarten and day care near 95th Street and 53rd Court, according to a statement from Oak Lawn police. Papoose Children’s Center is listed at 5354 W. 95th St.

Officers set up a surveillance team and saw him conduct “a lewd act” while he was watching adults and children on the playground, police said.

Vorberg, of the 5000 block of West 101st Street in Oak Lawn, faces felony charges of public indecency within 500 feet of a school with children present, as well as a parole violation.

A judge on Saturday ordered him held on a $150,000 bond, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. He is next scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
