A man was shot early Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 4:20 a.m., the 32-year-old man was shot in the right foot and back while he was standing in a backyard of a home in the 4500 block of West Washington, police said.

He was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
