A man was shot at a party late Sunday in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.

The 31-year-old was at a party in the 6000 block of South Champlain about 11:30 p.m. when he heard shots ring out, police said.

He was shot in the leg and taken in good condition to Mount Sinai.

Police initially said two men were shot at the party, but later said only one person was struck by the gunfire.

The victim has gang affiliations, police said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
