Two men were shot late Sunday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

They were standing on the corner at 79th and Eberhart just after 11 p.m. when someone fired shots, police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the chest, side and leg and taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the calf and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
