Sky player Elena Delle Donne was announced as the WNBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

With her 23rd point on Saturday against San Antonio, Delle Donne reached 1,000 career points. She became the quickest Sky player in franchise history to obtain this milestone, doing it in just 52 games. Only two players in WNBA history have accomplished the feat in fewer games: Cynthia Cooper, in 45 games on July 18, 1998 for Houston, and Seimone Augustus, in 46 games on June 16, 2007 for Minnesota.

Delle Donne has now recorded two consecutive double-doubles with averages of 27.0 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game. She continues to lead the WNBA in scoring with 29.3 points per game.

Delle Donne is fourth in the league in rebounding with 9.0 rebounds per game. She is tied for second in the WNBA for blocks per game with 2.17 averaged blocks. She also led all scorers in back-to-back road games, scoring 26 points at Atlanta on June 19 and 28 points at San Antonio on June 20.

The Sky will be back playing at 11:30 on Thursday at the Allstate Arena.
