A person was killed and another injured in a fight at a party near west suburban Glen Ellyn late Saturday, according to police.

About 10:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the party at a home in the 2N300 block of Prairie Avenue in unincorporated Glen Ellyn, according to a statement from the DuPage County sheriff’s office.

Two people were injured, one of them fatally, sheriff’s police said. No other details were released about the victims pending family notification.

The DuPage county coroner’s office could not immediately be reached Sunday morning to confirm the fatality.

“It is believed this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community,” the sheriff’s office statement said.

Sheriff’s police ask anyone with information on the incident to call investigators at (630) 407-2400.
