An autopsy Thursday did not determine the cause of death for a man who was found dead in an apartment Wednesday in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.

The 31-year-old man was found about 1:35 a.m. at the apartment in the 1100 block of West Morse, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Police said he had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. However, an autopsy Thursday did not rule on the cause or manner of his death pending further testing, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Chicago Police are conducting a death investigation.
