Well, there goes that. As if the Cubs don’t have enough curses to deal with in their 106-year World Series championship drought, now comes the Sports Illustrated cover jinx.

The national sports magazine put the Cubbies on one of their regional covers this week with an amazing down-the-third-base-line photo of the team celebrating Kris Bryant’s walk-off home run on Monday.

Probably more than any other team, the Cubs have helped feed the SI cover-jinx myth.
