The 2015 season could be Matt Forte’s last in Chicago.

The veteran Bears running back wants a new contract, and he’ll aim to get it by having a big season at age 29.

“All I can do is play football,” Forte said after Bears OTAs. “I’ve come to the realization that any run or catch I have could be my last in a Bears uniform. If they don’t want to re-sign me, I’ll have to play football somewhere else.”

Forte has been the highlight of the offense since 2008. And his departure would have an enormous impact on the Bears — and Bears fans.

A reddit thread posted Tuesday asked the following question: “Will you be upset if we let Matt Forte go after this season?”
