A 26-year-old man was shot in both feet late Sunday in River North.

About 11:45 p.m., he was sitting in a van at a stoplight at the intersection of Chicago and LaSalle when a gunman opened fire from the sidewalk, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
