The White Sox expanded their September roster to 29 by recalling right-hander Erik Johnson, catcher Rob Brantly and infielder Leury Garcia from Class AAA Charlotte and right-hander Frankie Montas from Class AA Birmingham Tuesday.
Johnson, 25, was named International League Pitcher of the Year today and is expected to make starts for the Sox this month. He posted an 11-8 record with in International League best 2.37 ERA and 136 strikeouts over 23 games.
Montas, 22, was 5-5 with a 2.97 ERA at Birmingham. He came up as the 26thplayer for a doubleheader on July 17 against the Kansas City Royals but did not pitch.

More callups, possibly Opening Day second baseman Micah Johnson, could be made at a later date.
