A 27-year-old woman was shot and critically wounded early Thursday in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

She was outside about 2:45 a.m. in the 1600 block of West 115th Place when someone walked up and shot her in the torso, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

She was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Gaines said.

The men, 18 and 20, were in the 1800 block of West Monroe Street about 9:20 p.m. when two people got out of a light-colored sedan and fired shots. They were hospitalized in fair condition.
