A man was injured in an Englewood neighborhood drive-by shooting Friday evening on the South Side.

About 7 p.m., the 59-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 5700 block of South May when a black vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire, police said.

He was shot three times in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
