Police are warning of three recent armed robberies in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

In each incident, the victim was approached from behind by two or three people and, while one suspect shows a dark-colored gun, the other takes the victim’s property, including cell phones, wallets and cash, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies happened:

  • about 3:3o a.m. Aug. 13 in the 3000 block of North Davlin Court;
  • about 2:20 a.m. Sept. 4 in the 3100 block of North Harding; and
  • about 1 a.m. Sept. 6 in the 3000 block of North Milwaukee.

In one incident, the robbers were two males and a female, who fled the scene in a small, four-door white car, police said. In the robbery on Harding, the suspects were described as two black men, between 18 and 25 years old, one with braids the other with a shaved head, and one black woman, between 18 and 20 years old, with a ponytail. In the other two cases, no description was given.

Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
