Someone tried to rob a bank Friday morning in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
The non-takeover robbery attempt occurred about 10 a.m. at the U.S. Bank branch at 5201 W. Madison, according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon. Nothing was taken.
The suspect was described as a 5-foot-7 black male with short hair and acne, Croon said. He was wearing a blue North Face jacket.
